The Foundation United & Parliamentary Intelligence Security Forum Task Force on Human Trafficking Have Locked Arms for Global Impact

The PISF Task Force on Human Trafficking is a subcommittee of the Parliamentary Intelligence Security Forum and was formed in the fall of 2021 after conversations surrounding human trafficking at the Forum in Budapest, Hungary. It is a consortium of Parliamentarians, lived-experience experts, government leaders and policy experts with the shared mission of combatting the largest humanitarian crisis in the world, human trafficking.

We are honored to collaborate with this incredible group to bring awareness and systemic training focused on prevention, criminal justice, healthcare, and the church to top leaders around the globe! Watch the video below, featuring Anne Basham, Task Force Chair and Former Senior Official at the Department of Justice Presidential Appointee, to learn more.

History Making Legislation to Protect Innocent Children From Sex Trafficking and Abuse.

The Foundation United advocates for legislation that will protect the most vulnerable... our children. Making your voice heard is key in helping this legislation being passed!

The Frederick Douglass Trafficking Victims Prevention and Protection Reauthorization Act of 2021 (H.R. 5150) (TVPA), sponsored by Representative Chris Smith (R-NJ) and Representative Karen Bass (D-CA) is legislation which now includes a mandate on sex trafficking prevention education for students K-12 for the first time! This would provide funding for schools to institute our train-the-trainer model and curriculum to save young lives! Click here to download a quick fact sheet about the TVPA.

Another piece of legislation in the U.S. Congress is entitled the Human Trafficking and Exploitation Prevention Training Act of 2021. The Senate version of S. 2136 is sponsored by Senator Murkowski (R) and Senator Smith (D). The House version of this bill is sponsored by Representative Buchanan (R) and Representative Wasserman-Schultz (D), (H.R.4989)

“I’ve had the privilege of working with Elizabeth in the fight against human trafficking for many years, including on legislation to help educate students about how to identify the warning signs properly. Elizabeth is a true leader in combatting this form of modern-day slavery and protecting innocent and defenseless children. As schools in Southwest Florida reopen this month, nothing is more important than Foundation United's work to ensure our children are safe from predators.”

-Congressman Vern Buchanan
