OUR HISTORY
Ten years in the making, The Foundation United began as a vision in 2010 and has evolved into a catalytic platform to end sexual exploitation and trafficking through systemic change. The organization's Founder knew from the beginning that they would first establish a domestic service provider, followed by launching a foundation strongly rooted in uniting best practices and high-impact leaders, which would have a global reach. We have established an unshakable foundation upon which leading organizations with like-minded DNA and proven results, can collaboratively partner and scale.
In 2018 it was time to bring this vision to life and The Foundation United became incorporated. The Foundation United has an innovative approach to delivering scalable solutions to complicated and ever-evolving issues. It also creates an opportunity for industry leaders, and vetted organizations doing similar work, to maximize their impact by leveraging shared resources and synergies. Today, The Foundation United's initiatives are creating an international change with an unparalleled approach to moving the needle forward to eradicate sex trafficking, abuse, and exploitation.

The Foundation United is relentlessly focused on getting ahead of sex trafficking, exploitation, and abuse with systemic, root-level solutions!

Empower the Frontlines - This pathway provides entire school districts and homeschools, including all faculty/staff and K-12th graders, with SPEAK UP, a unique train-the-trainer model with proven outcomes to prevent children from exploitation. We also offer The Cool Aunt Series, a unique multi-media experience that walks the foster system, teens and caregivers through the risk factors that lead to sex trafficking and exploitation. Global Strategic Operatives and the National Training Cadre train the frontlines of the criminal justice system and healthcare systems to recognize this crime and rescue survivors. Through Awareness, we educate and empower communities to take action.

Awaken Faith Communities - This pathway includes REAL TALK, a catalytic tool that awakens and empowers faith communities and organizations with tools and resources for kindergarten through leadership.

Ignite Global Leaders - This pathway connects world leaders with our scalable solutions and programs. One way this is accomplished is through our partnership with the Interparliamentary Human Trafficking Task Force.
A NETWORK FOR FREEDOM
Our methodology bases funding where it is most needed and does not support full-scale, ongoing operations, administration, and salaries. The goal of the Foundation is to teach others how to fish rather than create ongoing dependency. The Foundation's structure allows many organizations to operate with shared resources. We create an atmosphere of collaboration, not competition between organizations. This provides for the most significant impact possible.​
The beauty of the initiatives under the Foundation is that we have the ability to share resources. Some organizations have their own 501c3 while others have chosen to forego theirs. This allows all to unite and leverage resources to significantly reduce back-office costs, such as marketing, development, accounting, and operations. This method means more money goes directly to life-saving programs. Some of our partners are solely initiatives of the foundation, such as the National Training Cadre, REAL TALK, and SPEAK UP Train-The-Trainer Prevention Model.

We also provide grants to highly credible and vetted organizations on an annual basis on a smaller scale.

The Foundation United is unique in our ability to not only create and lead our own programming but we are also set up with the capacity to pass money to other organizations which are achieving compatible and collaborative goals in the fight to end sex trafficking, exploitation, and abuse. This one-of-a-kind approach has built a strong foundation for the greatest possible outcomes in this movement.
